The U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana is now taking comments on proposed changes to its local rules. The changes include a new local rule number convention that change how the rules are written, i.e. L.R. 1.1 would become L.R. 1-1. The number to the left of the dash would refer to the parent federal rule and the number on the right would refer to the local rule.

Comments must be submitted by Dec. 1 either on the court’s website or to Local Rules Comments, Office of the Clerk, 204 S. Main St., Room 304, South Bend, IN 46601.
