The Judicial Council of the 7th Circuit is seeking applications for bankruptcy judge to fill a new position in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana.

Some travel is necessary with the position, as the judge must be willing to go to other courts to handle cases as need arises. The term of office is 14 years and the current salary is $160,080.

Applicants may obtain an application from the Bankruptcy Court clerk for the Southern District of Indiana, from the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals clerk, or online.

Applications are due Jan. 27. The Judicial Council will make recommendations to the United States Court of Appeals, which will make the appointment.
