The U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Northern Districts of Indiana will be changing the style of Local Rules beginning Jan.1.

The way Local Rules are written will change from 1.1 to 1-1. The changes are to make the style more consistent with changes to federal rules and to avoid confusion when a corresponding federal rule uses a decimal.

The Southern District has posted the amendments to its civil local rules on its website. The Northern District will be posting its amendments online in the near future.
