Casey Kannenberg (left), a member of the Indiana State Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section, and YLS chair Jason Cichowicz, drop off wrapped gifts to an Indianapolis family in December. The YLS governing council sponsored families through the United Christmas Service in 2010 and 2011, and last year, sponsored two single-parent households.

“It’s opportunities like these that are available through the bar association that make ‘giving back’ an easy task,” Cichowicz said. “I can’t think of a better way to serve the community during the holidays, and it’s a great feeling to see the children’s faces light up.”

The YLS provided basic necessities like coats, shoes and clothing, in addition to toys, games and household items.
