The Indiana Court of Appeals announced Tuesday that its newest judge, Rudolph Pyle III, will take the oath of office in a private ceremony Aug. 27.
Chief Judge Margret Robb will administer the oath at 11 a.m. in the Indiana Statehouse.
Pyle’s public robing ceremony will be at 3 p.m. Oct. 16 in the Indiana Supreme Court, and details are still pending.
Pyle, currently a Madison Circuit judge, was appointed by Gov. Mitch Daniels to the Court of Appeals Aug. 7. Pyle fills a vacancy left by the retirement of Carr Darden, who has taken senior status.
