The Hendricks Superior Courts are looking to fill two magistrate positions created by the General Assembly during the recently completed 2013 legislative session.

Senate Enrolled Act 486 allows the Hendricks Superior Court to jointly appoint two full-time magistrates. Gov. Mike Pence signed the new law April 24.

Interested applicants must have been licensed for at least five years as of July 1, 2013, and be in good standing with the state. Applicants do not need to be current residents of Hendricks County but the two chosen for the positions must become residents by Dec. 31. The current compensation for these positions is $104,064 per year.

Those interested in applying must send their resume and cover letter to Superior Court administrator Catherine Haines at [email protected] by 5 p.m. May 17. Questions on the application process should be directed to Haines at the Hendricks County Superior Courts, 51 W. Main St., #101, Danville, IN 46122 or 317-718-6185. She may also be reached by email.
