A memorial service for Ronald “Ron” Hocker will be held at 1 p.m. Jan. 10 in the Switzerland Circuit Court courtroom. All local attorneys and court staff are welcome to attend to pay their last respects to Hocker, who died Dec. 9 at the Indiana University Simon Cancer Center in Indianapolis.
Hocker, 71, was an owner and president of National Attorneys’ Title Assurance Fund in Vevay, Ind. He had served as attorney for the town of Vevay, the Switzerland County School Corp., and the Ohio County Council. He was a graduate of Indiana University Maurer School of Law and established the Hocker Law Office in Vevay in 1973.
