Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law has postponed the third annual Birch Bayh Lecture that had been scheduled for Thursday at the law school.

A statement from the school Tuesday said guest lecturer Marcia Greenberger, founder and co-president of the National Women’s Law Center in Washington, cancelled her planned appearance due to a death in the family.

The law school said it will work with Greenberger to reschedule the lecture after the new year.
