The U.S. District Court in the Northern District of Indiana wants to hear from the bar and public as to whether a current magistrate judge should be recommended for reappointment.

The term of Magistrate Judge Christopher A. Nuechterlein in South Bend is due to expire Jan. 9, 2016. Law requires the District Court to establish a panel of citizens to consider the reappointment of a magistrate to a new eight-year term.

Comments regarding Nuechterlein may be sent to: Clerk Robert N. Trgovich; United States District Court, Northern District Indiana; 102 Robert A. Grant Courthouse; 204 S. Main St.; South Bend IN 46601.

All comments must be received by June 1.
