In honor of 7th Circuit Court of Appeals Judge John Daniel Tinder’s retirement, a display has been installed in the main hall of the first floor of the Birch Bayh Federal Building and United States Courthouse in Indianapolis. The display celebrates Tinder’s career by featuring a collection of awards, photographs, presidential commissions and other memorabilia. It will be up until August 15.

Tinder has served on the 7th Circuit since 2007. He also served on the United States District Court for the Southern District of Indiana from 1987 until his promotion. Prior to that, he was the United States attorney for the Southern District of Indiana from 1984 to 1987.

Tinder will retire later this summer, and the display gives the community and staff an opportunity to reflect on his lengthy career in public service.
