Briefs filed in Indiana appeals were made available for online for the first time Friday.

Beginning April 1, briefs filed in cases at the Court of Appeals, Indiana Supreme Court and Indiana Tax Court will be available on the appellate court online docket.

The state’s judicial branch in February announced appellate briefs would be publicly accessible April 1. Briefs were available online in at least two cases Friday, court staff said.

More appellate case filings will be available online in the future, according to the task force on remote access and privacy of online records.
