A former corrections officer at the Indiana Women's Prison in Indianapolis has pleaded guilty to having sex with an inmate.

The Indianapolis Star reported  55-year-old Lamont Williams of Indianapolis entered the plea Aug. 2 to a felony count of sexual misconduct. In return, prosecutors dismissed another count of sexual misconduct and one count of official misconduct.

Court documents say a female inmate told investigators Williams had sexual contact with her twice in 2014 and 2015 while he was a guard at the prison. The Indiana Department of Correction fired Williams on Feb. 1.

Under the plea agreement, prosecutors will recommend no more than two years in prison. Williams is scheduled to be sentenced Sept. 20.
