The 11 judges up for retention this year – including five on the Indiana Court of Appeals – will remain on the bench.

Voters elected to keep Court of Appeals Judges L. Mark Bailey, Melissa S. May, Margret G. Robb, Cale J. Bradford, and Elaine B. Brown, with each receiving more than 64 percent “yes” votes from the public based on the unofficial results posted on the Secretary of State’s website Wednesday morning.

The judges will remain on the bench for another 10-year term, with Judges Brown and Bradford serving their first 10-year term. Judge Robb will take over as chief judge of the court next year.

In Lake County, Superior Judges Calvin D. Hawkins, John R. Pera, Diana Kavadias Schneider, and Thomas P. Stefaniak Jr. each received at least 67 percent of “yes” votes, according to the Lake County Clerk’s Office’s website.

St. Joseph Superior Judge Roland W. Chamblee Jr. received 75 percent of “yes” votes, according to the SOS website.
