The formal swearing-in ceremony for new Indiana Justice Mark Massa will be May 7 in the Indiana Supreme Court Courtroom.

The one-hour ceremony begins at 2 p.m. and will include remarks from Gov. Mitch Daniels, former gubernatorial adviser Mark Lubbers, and former Marion County Prosecutor Scott Newman. Massa worked as Daniels’ general counsel from 2006 to 2010 and previously worked in the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office.

Massa was sworn in as a justice April 2 by former Chief Justice Randall T. Shepard in a private ceremony. Massa replaced Shepard, who retired from the court in March.
