Indiana attorneys interested in becoming the state’s 108th justice have until the end of June to submit their applications. The Supreme Court announced Wednesday the application and interview timeline.

Applications must be received by June 29. The Indiana Judicial Nominating Commission will interview candidates July 17-18, with second round interviews held Aug. 8-9. Gov. Mitch Daniels will select the next justice from a pool of three finalists.

The new justice will take over Justice Frank Sullivan Jr.’s spot on the bench. Sullivan announced earlier this year that he’d be leaving the court to teach full time at Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law.

The applications and more information are available online.
