Northern Indiana police say they have located a man considered a person of interest in the fatal shootings of two people.
Lafayette Police Department spokesman Sgt. Matt Gard said 52-year-old Franco Navarrete was taken into custody Friday without incident. Navarrete was wanted for questioning in Thursday night's double-homicide in the city about 65 miles northwest of Indianapolis.
Gard said police have made no arrests in that case and the killings remain under investigation.
Officers were called Thursday night to a Lafayette home and found two people with gunshot wounds outside the residence. Both were later pronounced dead at a local hospital.
Authorities have not released the victims' names.
