A free CLE, "Habeas Corpus and the Guantanamo Detainees: The Ongoing Tension between Liberty and Security," Dec. 30 will feature an Indianapolis attorney who was recently in Cuba and had firsthand experience with detainees.

Bill Marsh, executive director of Indiana Federal Community Defenders, will share his experiences and discuss his impressions from his recent travels to Guantanamo Bay, where he worked directly with three detainees.

The CLE will be presented from noon to 1 p.m. at 30 S. Meridian St, Room 803, Indianapolis. The CLE is presented by Rule 1.1, a new CLE provider based in Indianapolis.

Pre-registration for the course will be accepted, but is not required, by e-mailing [email protected].

Donations to the American Civil Liberties Union's Guantanamo Detainees Project will be accepted at the event.
