Governor appoints new ALJ

Gov. Mitch Daniels announced Friday the appointment of Aaron Raff as chief administrative law judge for the State Employees’ Appeals Commission. He succeeds Judge William “Tim” Rider, who has accepted a position at the Indiana Education Employment Relations Board.

Raff, of Carmel, is currently a deputy attorney general in the AG’s civil litigation section. Previously, he was an associate at Krieg DeVault. He is a 2002 graduate of Indiana University Maurer School of Law.

Raff is scheduled to begin his appointment Sept. 6.
