Marion County Circuit and Superior Courts in the Indianapolis City-County Building will be closed Tuesday in anticipation of dangerously cold weather. State court operations in Indianapolis, meanwhile, will delay opening until 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Marion Superior Courts administrator Andrea Newsom said Circuit Judge Louis Rosenberg issued an order Monday closing the courts, which are expected to reopen Wednesday.

A two-hour delay for Tuesday morning was announced for appellate courts and related agencies, which acting Chief Justice Robert Rucker said would be used to evaluate conditions. If any further changes to office hours are made, they will be posted at courts.in.gov and twitter.com/incourts.
