The former lobbyist for Marion Superior Courts will now serve as the administrator for the 36 Indianapolis judges and more than 700 employees who work in the county’s judiciary.

Emily VanOsdol moves from her position as an associate at Barnes & Thornburg LLP, where she worked for five years following a tenure as a procurement manager with the city. VanOsdol was part of the government relations team at Barnes & Thornburg.

VanOsdol replaces former court administrator Andrea Newsom, who resigned in July to become director of facility and space planning at the University of Indianapolis.
