Indianapolis and Greenfield police officials say the theft centers around the Golden Living Nursing Home in Greenfield. Investigators say it's possible someone inside the nursing home stole the identities.
Greenfield Chief John Jester says some of the victims may be deceased, making the case more complicated.
Authorities say a raid at an Indianapolis address turned up goods they say were bought with credit cards obtained by using stolen social security numbers. Also found was a ledger containing names and accounts.
Authorities say the investigation is ongoing, and they are questioning several suspects. No one has been arrested or charged in the case.
