The Indiana Supreme Court has added three prosecutors to its newly established Indiana Innovation Initiative and respective working groups aimed at making Indiana’s justice system more efficient.

Expected to analyze justice reform research, the initiative assesses the impact of reform efforts in other states and identifies innovative strategies to manage different case types. It is also tasked with recommending best practices to the Supreme Court.

Two subgroups, the Family Law Taskforce and the Technology Working Group, will carry out the initiative’s work. The Family Law Taskforce will consider recommendations on more efficient handling of domestic relations matters, while the Technology Working Group will evaluate business processes and innovative technologies in other jurisdictions, and in commercial enterprise, in preparing its recommendations.

Following its creation of the Initiative and subgroups, members of the high court resolved to add an elected prosecutor to each team in an Oct. 21 order.

Those additions include:

  • Clark County Prosecutor Jeremy Mull to serve with the Indiana Innovation Initiative.
  • Jasper County Prosecutor Jacob Taulman to serve with the Family Law Taskforce.
  • Daviess County Prosecutor Daniel Murrie to serve with the Technology Working Group.

Appointments to the initiative and subgroups are approved by the chief administrative officer of the Indiana Supreme Court.
