Gov. Eric Holcomb will select one of the following three people to become Allen Superior judge:
• Ashley Hand, Allen Circuit Court magistrate judge
• Sherry Hartzler, Allen Superior Court magistrate judge
• Lori Morgan, Allen Superior Court magistrate judge
The vacancy will occur in May. Four applicants submitted their names for consideration and the commission publicly interviewed the four candidates Monday — the finalists plus Department of Child Services attorney Matthew Skeens. The finalists were selected after an executive session deliberation.
Established by the Indiana General Assembly in 1983, the commission consists of six members and is chaired by Indiana Supreme Court Justice Steven David.
