Applications are now being accepted for the 2022 Indiana Conference for Legal Education Opportunity program.

Prospective law students interested in participating in the ICLEO Summer Institute must submit their applications online by March 21, 2022. This year’s institute will be held June 12-July 23 at Notre Dame Law School.

Created in 1997, ICLEO is a preparatory institute for students in traditionally underrepresented groups who are pursuing a legal career. The institute, held the summer before a student’s 1L year, focuses on academic rigor and provides professional development programming, field visits and social events.

Eligible applications must be college graduates and must be accepted into an American Bar Association-accredited law school in Indiana by the time the six-week summer program begins in June. Applicants go through a rigorous application process that is separate from the law school application process.

Successful applicants are also awarded a $4,800 scholarship per semester for up to six semesters.

More than 650 law students have graduated as ICLEO fellows since 1997.
