Suspended LaPorte Superior Judge Jennifer Evans Koethe's trial has been set for Jan. 4, 2010, in Lake County.

The judge was indicted in May on a charge of Class D felony attempted obstruction of justice based on an incident in her home where she was shot in December 2008. She was suspended following the indictment.

Special Judge Thomas P. Stefaniak of Lake Superior Court will preside over the case.
