The Volunteer Lawyer Program of Northeast Indiana will host a free event in Fort Wayne about guardianships. The program will discuss power of attorney/health-care representative vs. guardianship, the court process, and roles and responsibilities of being a guardian, among other topics.

Featured speakers are Magistrate Phillip Houk, Allen Superior Court; attorneys Stephen P. Griebel and Catherine S. Christoff; and Julie Cameron, president of the Indiana State Guardianship Association. There will also be a question-and-answer session. The event is open to the public and will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. June 16 at the Allen County Public Library, 900 Library Plaza, Fort Wayne.
