Gov. Mitch Daniels didn't have to look far to fill a vacancy for general counsel. The governor announced Wednesday that David Pippen, senior policy director in the governor's office, will become general counsel March 1.
Pippen replaces Mark Massa, who resigned to run for Marion County prosecutor.
Pippen has worked as senior policy director for two years, focusing on energy, natural resources, and the environment. Before joining the governor's office, he worked in private practice for 13 years.
He earned his law degree from Indiana University School of Law – Indianapolis. He is chair of Indiana's delegation to the Great Lakes Commission and is the staff judge advocate of the Indiana Guard Reserve.
