Just one day after the general election, Indiana Supreme Court Chief Justice Randall T. Shepard will discuss the challenges of local government reform at an event organized by provocate.org. The chief justice and former Gov. Joe Kernan were selected to lead the Indiana Commission on Local Government Reform to provide recommendations for a leaner local government structure. The commission released its report in December 2007.

The discussion is from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Nov. 5 at North United Methodist Church, 3808 N. Meridian St., Indianapolis. The discussion is a part of the Mid-North Shepherd Center's "Domestic Decisions" series.
