Marion Superior Court Judge Michael Keele recently moved from civil court 12 to civil court 7 prompting a discussion about
assignment of zoning and substantive civil environmental cases. The Marion Superior Court Executive Committee approved a motion
to move pending and new zoning cases with Judge Keele passed.

The Executive Committee also authorized Judge Keele to continue working on environmental cases that were already scheduled
for hearings through September 2010. Judge Keele had originally asked for the transfer of the substantive civil environmental
cases currently assigned to civil court 12, but this request failed for lack of motion.

At press time the Governor’s Office had yet to announce the appointee to fill the vacancy that currently exists within
the Superior Court.
