“The IBA will create a new political action committee named Attorneys for an Impartial Bench (“AIB”) to receive and distribute voluntary contributions to judicial candidates for the Marion County Circuit and Superior Courts.

“The primary purpose of AIB is to provide IBA members with an alternate method of supporting judicial campaigns.

“AIB will receive contributions from any IBA member wishing to support judicial candidates without regard to political affiliation and without direction as to disbursement from contributors.

“AIB shall have a Chair and Treasurer; all AIB contributions shall be segregated, reported, maintained and distributed in accordance with all applicable statutory requirements.

“All contributions received by AIB, less minimal administrative costs, will distribute equally among all judicial candidates during any calendar year in which a judicial election is held. Distribution from AIB shall be made after the certified candidate list is released by the Election Division of the Indiana Secretary of State but no later than 30 days prior to the general election.”
