The Indianapolis Legal Aid Society has scheduled a celebration in honor of its 70th birthday on Sept. 16. The guest speaker is Bobby Knight, former Indiana University basketball coach.

The event at the Indianapolis Marriott North, 3645 River Crossing Parkway, features a cocktail reception at 6:30 p.m., with dinner at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $150, and 10-person tables may be reserved for $1,500. For an additional $100, individual guests will be able to meet Knight during the reception. Knight is scheduled to speak at the dinner.

ILAS serves more than 150 clients per week and is the largest organization in Indiana devoted solely to the non-ideological, non-sectarian, non-governmental provision of civil legal assistance to persons of limited means.
