Indiana University School of Law – Indianapolis will hold its semi-annual Public Policy Mediation within State Government course from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Jan. 2-6, 2012. The program, which offers 24 hours of continuing legal education credit and satisfies Indiana Civil Mediation training requirements, is open to students and professionals.

The course is co-sponsored by the Indiana Municipal Lawyers Association and offers training in mediation, public policy mediation, law, ethics, litigation, multi-party disputes, and interpersonal communication skills and dynamics. Participants will practice mediation skills with proven, hands-on activities, including supervised role-playing, small group exercises and an interactive video program developed by the Harvard Law School Program on Negotiation.

The fee for registration is $825 before Dec. 9., and $875 thereafter. Parking is included with the fee. A registration flyer is available online.
