The Indiana State Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section is seeking speakers for its “Why Lincoln Was a Lawyer” outreach program.
The event is Feb. 10, 2012, and the deadline to sign up as a speaker is Jan. 27.
Launched in 2009, the program matches kindergarten through eighth-grade classrooms around the state with lawyers who provide a one-hour presentation about President Abraham Lincoln’s life, career and his impact on the United States. Lincoln was known to travel city-to-city offering free legal help.
