Robert N. Trgovich has been appointed clerk of the court by the judges of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana, the court announced Tuesday.

Trgovich succeeds Stephen R. Ludwig, who retired Dec. 31 after 33 years of service to the court.

Trgovich is an assistant U.S. attorney and head of the Fort Wayne division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Indiana. Before working in the Department of Justice, Trgovich was a naval officer. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame Law School.
