Circle City Links chapter to honor local attorneys, judge

The Circle City Chapter of The Links Inc. will honor members of the legal profession at its 16th annual Jazz Brunch and Fundraiser June 16.

The event, “In Defense Of – Hats Off to Men in the Legal Profession,” will recognize Indiana Court of Appeals Judge Carr L. Darden; attorney David W. Hamilton, of Rowe & Hamilton; John Chavis, member with Frost Brown Todd; Jimmie T. McMillian, partner at Barnes & Thornburg; and Joseph L. Smith, partner at Faegre Baker Daniels.

Tickets for the event are $60 per person and include a brunch buffet. Proceeds will benefit service programs of the Circle City Chapter of The Links Inc. Some of these programs include the Asante Children’s Theatre, Coburn Place, Celebration of the Arts and Scholarships in the Arts.

Established in 1946, The Links Inc. is an international not-for-profit corporation that consists of 12,000 women of color in 274 chapters in 42 states. Members include business and civic leaders, activists and other professionals who, together, contribute more than 500,000 hours of community service annually.
