The Commission on Courts will tackle several issues at its meeting Oct. 21, including the confidentiality of juvenile court records in juvenile paternity cases.

The agenda posted for Monday’s meeting shows the commission members will also discuss bail bonds and pretrial release, the contents of judgment dockets, and a request for a magistrate for Vanderburgh Circuit Court.

Concurrent proceedings for adoption and termination of parental rights are also agenda topics. Specifically, the commission members will look at issues raised by the Indiana Supreme Court in The Matter of Adoption of Minor Children: C.B.M. and C.R.M.; CAB (natural mother) v. J.D.M. and K.L.M. (adoptive parents).

At the meeting, members will review the final report. The Monday meeting is the last of five held during the 2013 legislative interim. Organization Day for the 2014 legislative session is Nov. 19.
