Indianapolis foster children to be reminded they matter

Child Advocates, Inc., a nonprofit representing and protecting children in Marion County, will be giving away hundreds of books to foster children in Indianapolis as part of the national project, “A Book of My Own.”

The organization will be distributing 300 books to children in foster care Feb. 12 at the Marion County Juvenile Court. The project, “A Book of My Own,” operates under the belief that each child who is given a book will be reminded that he or she really matters.

Child Advocates received the books from The Justice Project, an organization engaged in educational, economic, environmental and social justice.
