Dickson, the second-longest-tenured justice in Indiana history, announced he will assume senior judge status April 29, after 30 years on the bench.

The commission will narrow the 30 candidates to a list of semifinalists who will be interviewed March 3-4. The commission then will narrow the candidates to three, submitting the finalists to Gov. Mike Pence, who will then have 60 days to make an appointment.
