Help Needed in Planning Member Memorial Program
Interested in helping to coordinate a memorial service to be held this fall to honor recently deceased members of our Indianapolis Bar Association community? If so, contact Julie Armstrong at email@example.com. Planning discussions will start in early April and should require no more than two in-person meetings (one hour or less) and participation in a couple teleconferences. Of course, attendance at the program would also be needed. The date of the life celebration will be set by the planning group.
Scholarships Available from the Indianapolis Bar Foundation
Applications are now being accepted for three academic scholarships and four educational scholarships from the Indianapolis Bar Foundation (IBF), the charitable arm of the IndyBar. The IBF awards academic and educational scholarships to deserving law students annually as one way of carrying out its mission-to advance justice and lead positive change in Indianapolis through philanthropy, education and service. Access the scholarship form at indybar.org/ibf. Applications are due April 1.
Your Chance to Help 700+ Neighbors
Both attorneys and paralegals are needed to assist the public with legal guidance during the Spring 2015 Ask A Lawyer program, the IndyBar’s largest legal advice program, on Tuesday, April 12. Volunteers are being sought for for one of two shifts (2 to 4 p.m. or 4 to 6 p.m.) at locations throughout the city. To volunteer, contact Caren Chopp at firstname.lastname@example.org.
