Indiana courts announced that parties may now file electronically in confidential case types including adoption, child in need of services, termination of parental rights, and juvenile cases. The change took effect Monday.

E-filing currently is available in all appellate courts and in these trial courts: Clark Circuit and Superior courts; Floyd Circuit and Superior courts; Hamilton Circuit and Superior courts; Harrison Circuit and Superior courts; Henry Circuit courts; Madison Circuit courts; and Shelby Circuit and Superior courts.

Courts in Franklin, Hendricks, Morgan, St. Joseph, Tipton and Wells counties are expected to begin e-filing later this year. All state trial courts are expected to make e-filing available by the end of 2018.

E-filing will become mandatory in Hamilton County on July 1. More information about e-filing in Indiana state courts is available here.
