A published report says financial records are key to a federal probe into a western Indiana school corporation.
The Terre Haute Tribune-Star reported in a story posted online Friday that the items seized during the FBI's June 8 warrant service at Vigo County School Corp., included financial records along with computers, thumb drives and recordings. The newspaper cites information it obtained.
Agents raided the school corporation's administrative offices, transportation center and information technology center. The newspaper reports that the search and seizure warrant served lists 79 items that were taken, including documents related to account activity, school improvements and the retirement account of the superintendent.
The FBI has declined to discuss details of the investigation.
