The Indiana Supreme Court granted transfer to one case last week, a criminal matter in which it issued its decision the same day it accepted it.

The justices affirmed Victor Roar’s intimidation conviction in a two-page per curiam decision issued July 12.

The Supreme Court denied transfer to 23 other cases last week.

•    Chief Justice Loretta Rush and Justice Steven David voted to grant transfer to Toddrick Ogburn v. State of Indiana, 82A01-1509-CR-1546, in which the Court of Appeals reversed Ogburn’s conviction of Class C felony possession of marijuana with intent to deliver in an amount greater than 10 pounds.
•    David also voted to grant transfer to HealthPort Technologies LLC v. Garrison Law Firm LLC, 49A02-1502-PL-99, in which the COA reversed a decision that denied HealthPort’s motion for judgment against Garrison Law Firm LLC after the firm filed a class-action lawsuit alleging HealthPort illegally charged a labor fee despite not producing documents the firm requested.
•    Rush and Justice Robert Rucker also voted to take the case Commitment of T.M., 49A02-1508-MH-1034, in which the COA issued a memorandum decision affirm the trial court order for regular involuntary commitment as well as the order to treat and force medication.

There was no transfer disposition for the week ending July 8.
