Fifty-one-year-old Debra Wollner of Evansville was arrested Thursday on eight preliminary felony charges, including battery and criminal confinement. She's being held on $200,000 bond.
Online court records don't show that she has an attorney.
Police say Wollner and at least two other people apparently held the 41-year-old man captive for hours on July 21, four days after Aleah Beckerle was reported missing.
The Evansville Courier & Press reported Wollner allegedly beat the man until he made a false confession in that case.
Police say he wasn't involved in the disappearance of the 19-year-old, who uses a wheelchair and needs constant care and medication.
