The accomplice in the shooting deaths of three people inside a Fort Wayne house has been sentenced to 20 years in prison.
An Allen County judge ordered the sentence Monday for 19-year-old Darrell McDaniel, who pleaded guilty last month to robbery in connection with the February 2016 attack. Authorities say the shootings happened when McDaniel and 20-year-old Artavius Richards went to the house for a drug robbery.
A jury convicted Richards on three counts of murder for the deaths of 23-year-old Mohamedtaha Omar, 20-year-old Adam Mekki and 17-year-old Muhannad Tairab. Richards was sentenced last month of 190 years in prison.
Prosecutors dropped murder charges against McDaniel for pleading guilty to robbery.
