On June 23, 2017, the IndyBar Young Lawyers Division (“YLD”) held its annual Summer Associate Scavenger Hunt which gives summer associates, law students, and interns the opportunity to know the city—and one another—with a little friendly competition. Despite a few summer storms, this year’s scavenger hunt was a great success.

The scavenger hunt began at the IndyBar office, where participants were organized into teams before heading off in search of various Indianapolis landmarks and destinations. Teams went throughout downtown and as far north as Broad Ripple collecting photos, receipts, and matchbooks to score points. Many teams also paid their respects to famous Hoosiers in Crown Hill Cemetery.

Teams were scored based on the number of places they checked off their sheets. The competition was close as the winning team won by just one point over two teams that tied for second. Only one cellular phone was lost, but it was quickly found and returned to its owner.  At the end of the scavenger hunt the teams and members of the YLD Executive Committee met at Kilroy’s for food, drinks, and companionship. Thank you to all of the participants and to Kilroy’s for its hospitality to the YLD and the competing members!•
