Professor Gerard Magliocca will discuss his new book, “The Heart of the Constitution: How the Bill of Rights Became the Bill of Rights,” during a Faculty Book Talk on Wednesday at IU McKinney.
This, his fourth book, was published in December by Oxford University Press and explores the untold story of the most celebrated part of the United States Constitution. It lays out the history of how the first 10 constitutional amendments came to be known as the Bill of Rights.
Magliocca is a noted expert in constitutional law. Three of his books have been the subjects of programs on C-SPAN’s “Book TV,” including this one.
The event begins at 5 p.m. in the Wynne Courtroom, followed by a reception and book signing in the atrium at 6 p.m. The event offers one hour of Indiana continuing legal education credit. The talk is free and open to the public, but registration is required.
