Barnes & Thornburg LLP has announced the opening of its second California location, this time in San Diego.

The firm’s first California location opened in 2011 in Los Angeles.

The new branch — the firm’s 14th overall — will be headed by California attorney Troy Zander, who will serve as partner-in-charge.

Zander is a member of the firm’s corporate department, an experienced lender-side financing attorney with a focus on life sciences and technology. He advises clients on traditional commercial leveraged debt financings, venture debt financings and bridge loans.

With more than 600 attorneys and other legal professionals, Barnes & Thornburg LLP is the largest Indianapolis-based law firm and among the largest in the country. In addition to its Indiana and California locations, the firm also has offices in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Columbus, Ohio; Grand Rapids, Michigan; Minneapolis, Wilmington, Delaware; and Washington, D.C.
