This is an ongoing series introducing new DTCI attorneys to the wider legal community.

Firm/company: Pitcher Thompson, P.C.

Practice area: Representing healthcare providers in litigation with a focus on medical malpractice cases.

Years of practice: Three

What do you like best about your job? Helping smart and dedicated healthcare professionals navigate the unfamiliar world of a malpractice lawsuit.

What has been the best moment so far in your legal career? Seeing the final copy of the first appellate brief I helped write.

Why are you a member of DTCI? To help learn from and support other legal professionals in the defense bar.

Unforeseen hurdles of your first years as a lawyer? Learning the unwritten rules of practice that are not taught in law school like how to bill time.

If you weren’t a lawyer, what would you be and why? National Geographic photographer. I love to explore new places, and I love taking pictures of them.

What you wish you knew then … Networking is valuable for much more than just getting the next job.

Fun fact about you: My first trip to Asia was to attend a friend’s wedding in Singapore.
