Travis Clowers has been appointed to the Posey Superior Court, succeeding Judge Brent Almon who retired last month. Clowers will be sworn in as judge at a later date.

Gov. Eric Holcomb announced the judicial appointment Thursday.

Since January 2011, Clowers has served as the elected prosecutor of Posey County. Prior to his election, he worked in both the Vanderburgh and Brown county prosecutor’s offices. He earned a bachelor of science degree from the University of Southern Indiana and a J.D. degree from Florida Coastal School of Law. Clowers was admitted to practice in Indiana in 2008.
