Two wrongful death lawsuits were filed last week against Casey L. Ritchie’s estate by his daughter, Brandi Ritchie, who’s the personal representative of the estates of her mother and younger sister.
Delaware County Sheriff Tony Skinner said the killings remain under investigation, but evidence “conclusively” shows Casey Ritchie of Muncie fatally shot 45-year-old Denise Miles and 14-year-old Rylee Ritchie in April before killing himself.
The Star Press reported the complaints seek compensation, including for the teenager’s wrongful death and for Brandi Ritchie’s loss of the “love and affection of her mother.”
Casey Ritchie’s sister is named as the defendant in the lawsuits, as the personal representative of his estate.
